Geer’s practice is broad and exploratory. Through the use of acrylic paints and chemicals such as turpentine, he creates neo-primal work that addresses issues in our current cultural and political landscape. The created works stand as an imagining of our documentation as a society for future civilizations. A variety of Matt’s work has been selected to showcase in our May 2018 exhibition, CounterCulture: Hidden Stories of Chicago Past and Present.
