Ben is a photographer that captures the discarded and forgotten people, places, and objects that have been left to decay in the Chicago cityscape in which he grew up. His work is a documentation of the counter cultures he encounters through urban exploration and the graffiti scene. Many of his photographs carry personal stories that have emerged from his encounters with homeless people, graffiti artists, and other people who are may or may not be accepted by Chicago’s society in general. We are thrilled to welcome Klawans to our May 2018 exhibition, CounterCulture: Hidden Stories of Chicago Past and Present.
In the meantime, you can check out more of Ben’s adventures here
