Amanda Kaminski

Amanda Kaminski is a 22-year-old artist based in Chicago, IL. Amanda was raised by two mothers in rural central Illinois. Her mothers raised her in a liberal environment very different from her surroundings of conservative values. Amanda uses photography to discuss social issues involving women and gender. She explores and challenges the male gaze and its effect on women’s self-worth and how it shapes identity, directing viewers to discuss female gaze.
