Meghan Griffith is a Chicago painter and street artist. We’ve chosen her work, Redemption, a photographic documentation of her performance art for our May 2018 exhibition, CounterCulture: Hidden Stories of Chicago Past and Present. Meghan’s work is powerful as the result of this performance landed her in some troubles with the law. As a result of her probation, she is officially legally prohibited from painting in any form. Her continued drive to paint is a statement and defiance in and of itself.
